Re: Bingley Hall. Staffs. 30th Jan 2011
and there's me thinking everyone wanted a lie-in on sat and a not-too-early start!
11am can be done okay - will inform raymondo on the moro' that we'll be leaving earlier than planned to get up to south mimms. we will leave about 9.30 then (and hopefully pick sarah up on the m11).
we all need to remember the quarter tank rule for the display area and .......... guess what? jvg now has brake lights - new switch fitted today seems to have done the trick though the battery has died in a big way (new one coming tomorrow) and i have also welded in a new bottom to the offside a-post, which will hopefully see some paint tomorrow! just need to fit the new stereo too and i'm all set for a whole day of mum's classical cd's!

Re the 1/4 full or less rule. Please adhere to it as best you can. I have heard that they have refused entry to cars with too much in the tank in the past.
A tip for you maybe? If Steve is towing the 57 on a trailer this means he will have a tow horse standing outside? In which case you can leave your spare cans of petrol in that so no worries?
I have my own thoughts on this rule. In my opinion a almost empty tank will produce more lethal vapours than a full one and would certainly be more dangerous. I am not an Elf and Safety expert but I do think I have a strong point.

Thanks for that Tony, and I`m with you all the way on the petrol issue, more vapour in an emty tank than a full one, and I`ll have 2, 5 litre cans in the tow van and if any body wants to add more it`s ok by me, but no leaky cans please.

Get you Steve, becoming a right regular!!
Al, I'll give you a call (or feel free to ring me) to see where we can hook up, earlier than South Mimms is good for me. Tho I'm sure we can prob make it there fine.

Re: Bingley Hall. Staffs. 30th Jan 2011
For those who are following this thread here is a sneaky peek at my poster for the show. My apologies to members whose cars are not shown. I would have liked to have included several other overseas Elf's and Hornets but unfortunately Photo bucket has removed many of them
Why I don't know. I can only assume members have not agreed that they are the owners of the photograghs?
Those whose are missing may like to try and insert them again.
Then I can copy them to my hard drive before they are removed again?

If Big Al can take his 12 volt/240w power adaptor we can plug in my digital photoframe and show my slideshow of over 1800 different Elf/Hornet pictures as well?

Well, Poo. That was the most plain vanilla car of the group. I figured it would be either your UJ bunch or the ex-works car. Go figure.

Re: Bingley Hall. Staffs. 30th Jan 2011
Sorry Brian, Kreacher didn't win it. It went to a 60's chequebook rest like Alex said, which just happened to be conveniently parked on the British Mini Club Stand.... need I say more???
Hope you got your TShirt?
As for Bingley, great weekend. Thanks to Alex and Leigh, Steve, Al and "Mum", SJ and Marc, Tony and Jill, Liz and Nick, Ray, Trish, Andrew and Richard for all displaying their cars and to Rob for making it eventually minus his Elf. And to the 6 or 7 new members we picked up today.
Will try and post some pics up later tonight

The winner was asked to make sure they were available to go to the show, it was no coincidence they were there.
Everyone who was up for the award rolled out an email, forum and Facebook campaign to garner votes - I guess they were just better at it...
