With big Al's permission I am hoping to secure a E/H Club Stand at this show next January (2011)
I know its a bit early but I was thinking of our stand "taking over the show" seeing they are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Elf and Hornet and the mini pickup.
Now how many members would be prepared to bring their pride and joys to this show?
The ticket Free Entry for driver + passenger You would have to be prepared to arrive at the showground by at least 9.00 AM and cannot leave until at least 4.30 PM as this is a totally enclosed show. Your petrol tank must not be more than a quarter full and the battery must be disconnected for the duration of the show.Reason? if you want to display the engine and it has a "live" push starter solenoid (like mine).
Please "Copy and paste" the list below and add your name if you are likely to be able to come so that I can book a BIG STAND AREA

Can you put me down as a maybe Tony? Finding it hard to commit to anything at the moment, but would love to do this. 3 hour drive each way for me - would prefer to drive in convoy, Alex, Al/ Ray, what would your plans be? I'd rather drive up on the Sat and book travel lodge or similar - anyone else fancy a spot of dinner and a glass or two of something the night before.

yeah i think i would be travelling up the night before, and travelling in a premier inn or the likes. convoy does sound good, although i think id say mine comfortably does 60mph, and thats it really lol!! but shes running now, none the less

Maybe when Tony knows for certain who and how many, maybe we could block book a travel lodge or premier inn somewhere between Birmingham and Stafford?

I have just checked out Stafford Central Travel Lodge for availability of rooms.
On a normal enquiry for four double rooms. They have 4 rooms available for Sat 30th Jan 2011 The rooms are £35.75/ night (non refundable) or £57.70/night if you have to cancel before noon on the day.
For a block group booking we have to register with travel lodge. I am not sure they do block bookings for 5,6,7,8 or 9 rooms as the selection starts at 10!
I will make some enquires and come back to you on that.
Some of you may be travelling solo. If this is the case, are you prepared to share with another? and if so can you let me know please?
Will others let me know how many are in their cars and let me know the registration numbers too please?
There is another T/Lodge on the M6 but I don't think it would be convenient for a Meal/get together on the Saturday night?

Also i've spoke to Steve Bourke, who has the white heinz 57, and he said he would like to come to the show too if there is still space? His reg is LLH852D, i'm doing this on behalf of him as he isn't on here and i think (knowing what he is like with technology) he wouldn't have a clue what to do/how to use a forum haha.

If we can't get tickets for 8 cars, then I do think we really need at least one of the 57's. I'm happy to travel up as a passenger with someone if they can squeeze me and the boy in!
