Re: Other cars....
Ah now, you've just taken me back to the days of my childhood, when my Dad had a metallic gold Ford Capri, that was a little past it's prime. He'd had it up for sale for some time, with no takers, then one day my Mum went to go and do the weekly shop only to find the car was missinf -found by the police; stonlen, crashed and written off on the Croydon flyover - saved my Dad having to worry about finding a buyer

Here is my Cooper
This is my '65 Morris Cooper. Has the original heart stopping 7 inch discs and a 1275 at the moment. Note that the door is a different white. The car had horrible stickers on it and pealed the paint when I took them off so I had to touch it up.
And my '67 Cooper S

Re: Other cars....
Hey Mac! love the Velux! My boss at the paper shop where I was a paper boy(til the wind blew me away!) was one of the first to own one when they came out and used to give me a lift to school in a PINK one. I was the envy of my school pals LOL in a pink car I ask you! (on second thought it may have been a Cresta?)

Re: Other cars....
Here is my other car. It is a 1966 Porsche 912. Has a Type 4 motor from a 1970 Porsche 914. Car is currently going under the knife to get rid of the massive amounts of bondo on the two rear fenders.

Put the engine in an early beetle
Re: Other cars....
I have seen early beetles with the Type4 in them. Punched out to 2.3 or 2.5 liters and they sound wicked and go like lightning! Just one thing for me, not into beetles so much, just their posher cousin the 912We Are The Mods wrote:whitebuffalo wrote:Here is my other car. It is a 1966 Porsche 912. Re: Other cars....
This isn't my car, but I used to have one almost exactly like this one, same color even. 1971 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale Convertible with a 455 cubic inch V8 with GM Quadrajet 4-barrel carburetor. It would do 120 mph all day long and never break a sweat, although I had to stop frequently to fill up the tank. What a great car! I made several cross country trips with it back in the 80's, and it sailed across the prairies in the western states like a land yacht.
