Replacement Carpets
Hi,
I have seen replacement carpets at Newton Commercials
http://www.newtoncomm.co.uk/cars/mini/product.jsp?ref=155&series=26&type=3
Has anyone bought these? I have bought carpets from coverdale and other companies (for an Austin A30) and they have been an abysmal fit So bad I sent them back.
Can anyone recommend anywhere that sells reall good carpet.
Cheers
Greg

Quality Carpets
I have a set of carpets from Newton Commercial. As I have modified my Elf to take a later Mini rod change gearbox, I asked Newton to make me a set specifically for my hybrid Elf. No problem and the carpets arrived within a few weeks. The fit is not perfect but with a little work were made to fit. The only real issue I had was down to the thickness as Newton glue an underlay to the back of the carpet, making it a little difficult to pull into shape. Having said that, the quality is first class and the colour which I was having difficulities in obtaining was perfect (dark red). They were very helpful and easy to deal with but their products are quite expensive. I hope this helps.

Re: Replacement Carpets
That is useful information Andrew, Thank you.
My car being Automatic I hope that wont cause a problem in the sighting on the carpet for the relevent hole.
I am wanting dark green an Ive seen they do that option.
Seeing the carpet isnt edged it must be easier to trim to make a closet fit.
Not cheap though

Re: Replacement Carpets
My carpet was from N.C too. It did not have a hole for gear stick but was easy enough to cut, I did not have to trim it at all.
