I have several secondhand overiders in reasonable to good condition, just needing a good polish and or re-chroming etc. They are not rotten or physically damaged and would be fine for all but show cars. Most will need new clamp bolts and edge protecting strips. I was thinking of putting them on eBay towards the end of the month but let me know if you need them sooner.

HI, can anyone verify if these over-riders are for the Elf? I got them separately from Tonka's previous owner when I bought the car 10 years ago but never tried fitting them on. I've offered them up to the bumper and they sit OK but I'm not sure how the nuts and bolts go on.

I've been thinking of putting them on ebay but if anyone here wants them you get priority. Two are perfect while two have dents at the broad end. From the photos the two at the top row are perfect and the bottom row ones are not. Come with rubber seals, but without the nuts and bolts. The insides have been painted with rust proofing hence the colour. sorry about the bad second pix. I can take better ones if anyone's interested.

Feel free! I'm contemplating having the rear bumper rechromed first nd my rear over riders might just be okay for now and if they are not,then I'll have to raid my son's piggy bank for some new ones! So go for them DyNoRod!

Got more pix. these 2 have dings while the other 2 are about perfect. anyone interested can email me. not asking for much but there's postage from Singapore to consider. I'll try to get an estimate to ship to London as a gauge.

Defo interested in the two without dents, i have two being chromed at the moment, and two more to take to the chromer, but these look like they dont need it.

How much for the two and postage to UK?

PS I have two bumpers, two door handles, boot lock, waistline trim, two overriders, bonnet strip all at the chromers - they called me to confirm cost of £560 - what do you think?

In the last couple of days I have received a quote from a place in St Helens
Front bumper £175
Rear " £210
Total £385

Or for cash £360 !
Your figure does seem a bit high for the rest of your stuff for £200?

I have a spare front bumper to be rechromed so I'm thinking of trying to do a deal by offering that for him for free a to do and sell on for a profit what do you think? Will he go for it and do mine for say £325 or th'b't's ????

I have now decided just to have the rear bumper done and have negotiated a price of £190 cash. (quite a difference from £245 first quoted )
I will be taking it to them next week and will keep you informed of the result.
I will also ask for some guide prices for other bits if peeps are interested.
Can you let me know BEFORE next Tuesday 24th Feb. if you have any specific bits in mind. Thanks
Thanks to Andrew/ Gordon (whoever it was) for the hint to make sure they don't rechrome it too thick for the bolts to fit.

Picked up the rear bumper today. Cracking job! Chromer also did my radiator surround for £80 and did a good job on that too.well worth it.

Just for the record Peeps. I have finally manged to contact BM Autos by mobile phone 07973749608 The land line is off as is their email address for some reason.
I have ordered two over riders for £94.99 all in. (Somerford Minis have them for £58.02 each + P&P !) so a big saving there with BM Autos. who inform me that they have about 20 left should anyone want some.

I heard some time ago that one of the owners of the company producing these reproduction overriders was seriously ill. I will do a little investigation and get back.
Historically they have been totally trustworthy and reliable and the goods being first class quality.

I'll keep you posted.

My over riders arrived today from BEM. Good service , Excellent products brilliantly re engineered and well recommended. Be quick if you want some, there is about 18 left and the Riley club want to buy them all!
BEM has refused to let them all go and asked the club to refer the members to him so it's "first come first"
BTW you get new fixing bolts and rubber protectors in the price. All in all, goog value

Sorry for the long delay in getting shipping estimates (See my posts on page 1). I've weighed the over-riders and they come in at about 380 grammes each. Rounding off a pair at 1 kg with packing, Singapore Post rates are around S$38.95 for normal air parcel (7-14 days) per kg and S$56.95 1-4 day courier. Today's rate is 1 SGD to 0.4575GBP.
