still new to this idea of a forum : please can any one help i have a mk1 1963 hornet i know the roof is 'demask' but the main body of the car is on the log book as 'white' but I'm doing a COMPLETE rebuild from the three ply tyres to the newly painted demask roof: my plan is to keep or re-do back to original spec i have had the car for nearly four year and finally it is coming close to paint : and i need to know which colour it should be
I have been told different colours Snow berry , Ermine , Old English White and toga white but no definite answer can some help

Re: paint and which colour is correct
Okay, depending on whether it's a MKI or MKII it should be one of these:
Wolseley Hornet Saloon Mk I (1961-1962)
Paint -------------------------------------- Seats
Pale Ivory (YL1) Damask Red (RD5)---- Grey/Cardinal Red
Pale Ivory (YL1) Damask Red (RD5)---- Cardinal Red
Or these:
Wolseley Hornet Saloon Mk II (1963-1966)
Paint----------------------------------------- Seats
Pale Ivory (YL1) Damask Red (RD5)------ Cardinal Red
Toga White (WT5) Damask Red (RD5)---- Cardinal Red
Toga White (WT5) Damask Red (RD5)---- Dove Grey
Here is a link to this paint chart.
I also recommend getting a Heritage Certificate from http://www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk to see exactly how it came from the factory.

If it helps at all, the Toga White mentioned has always looked more like alight grey to me.
