Drive it Day Empty Drive it Day

I've not been here long as you may know.
I have just been to the calendar for April and 'Drive it Day' doesn't feature.
Anyone who was at Brooklands may know me a little now, sorry I didn't spend longer with you all, but there's so many things to see there. It didn't help that I was playing fiddle in a session that evening so had to scoot off relatively early.
My fellow petrolhead David was with me then. We decided long ago to 'drive it' to Sammy Miller's bike museum. www.sammymiller.co.uk That was when I expected to go by 3litres of Scimitar; She's undergoing surgery so 998cc of rip roaring Honet will be taking us there. Probably arrive about midday then.
Anybody care to come too? - New Forest can be lovely for picnics...good foody pubs abound if wet...quite often various clubs, not all bikeys go there too...How about it?
Trust I'm not treading on anybody's toes making this suggestion - if so then sorry.
Oily
PS how do I upload Brooklands Photies? Couldn't figure it at all when I tried.

Elfie should be performing in the Lancashire Automobile Club's "Drive it Day" event again this year:::

http://www.lancsautoclub.com/george.htm

April 17th is the correct date but it is a week before the "nominal" St. Georges Day as that weekend coincides with Easter Sunday.

Nevertheless, Elfie will be sporting one or three St. Georges flags.

If you go to the FBHVC website, you may find an event near you....

Cheers

i (and mum), with jvg, shall be at the bristol classic car show (16-17th april) with kevin and his heinz 57 as guests (honoured i hope!) of the wolseley register on their stand - only down side is it's an "all weekend/ inside and park yer car up friday night and you can't have it back 'til sunday tea-time" type affair which means i have to trailer the little car there and back which takes a big part of the fun element away Sad

still, fish and chip supper has been promised for the saturday night so it ain't all bad! Very Happy
