MK1 Colours
Can some one advise me of this colour please,it appears to be a caramel/coffee colour as best as I can describe it,I have aquired a Mk1 in rather poor shape, and was led to believe that the person selling had lost the paper work (hmmm sucker)and duly applied for a duplicate V5,only to be told that the reg number was now assigned to another vehicle, but I could apply for an age related plate after it is restored and mot'd(so that will be in about 5 years time),can't really bear to break it after seeing this lovely colour, and was wondering if some one might have name/paintcode
Re: MK1 Colours

Elf? I don't remember any brown colour available for the Mk I Elf. Arianca started with the Mk IIs, I believe. There was a Mk I, Whitehall Beige listed for the Mk II Hornet (never seen one), but the roof was Florentine Blue so I can't imagine even BMC putting that blue over a true beige colour.

Re: MK1 Colours
only similiar elf colour i can find in my list is indeed arianca beige (colour code BG13) which should be topped with a pale ivory roof (colour code VL1)
it may all become clearer when a piccy is posted.....

Chas,
This is from the Sept 61 sales brochure. All the Mk1 colours available from launch. If you want a better copy I can email it to you.

I concur Al, a picture is what we need. If it is indeed Ariance Beige, then I suspect it may also turn out to be a Mk2 not a Mk1 - if the colour is original
