Fanbelt number Empty Fanbelt number

Anyone got the part number for a fanbelt? Our local motor factor has supplied us with a
10A0800C which also has the number QBA800 on it. This doesn't fit. Even with the dynamo
resting on the engine, it won't fit.

My elderly QH parts book quotes DB807 for Elf with dynamo, DB817 for Elf MkIII with alternator. My Bosch book (1997) quotes 10x825 for Mini with alternator but doesn't list the earlier cars. However I'm sure I've fitted 10x838 on Minis before.
I've also just found a Mafco book which gives MFB825 for Mini with alternator and MFB813 for Mini with dynamo.

I think the conclusion from that is that you need a belt 10mm wide and 813mm long. Hope this helps.

Fanbelt number Empty Thanks

Cheers, seems to tally with what I have been able to find out on t'interweb. Measuring what is left
of the old belt, not easy, 813mm is what I came up with. No idea how they came up with 800, as
far as I can tell, no BMC belts where that size.
