Got One at long last !

Finally after months of waiting I have finally secured a Riley Elf!! Managed to get a 68 Cumberland Green Automatic. will admit auto not my first choice but it is rare and I believe to convert not a huge job. Will need some minor fettling but hope to be on the road in weeks not months!! Right back to E Blag for a dash and try to find some Green front seats

No do keep it automatic, they are really nice and fun to drive when you get used to it. I had never had an automatic before but I am really enjoying the experience. Its a bit laid back and a bit lazy but fun at the same time.

though having driven only one auto elf - she knows who she is! - it is a fun little car to pootle about in as long as you're not in a hurry and watch out for all the impatient b*****ds in their modern cars whizzing around all over the place

Hey, I can see why everyone is getting excited and trying to get you not to convert, autos are rare and fun to drive, at the end of the day its your car and you should do what makes you happy. I cant wait to see your pictures.

To be fair, my auto Elf has seen off more modern cars at the lights than she has any right to!

OK seems the auto appreciation society have won the day! Did not realise how rare! I did have a Clubman auto in the 80s so its not a new experience! If I dont like it one of you guys with a manual who wanted me to keep it auto can swap !!!! Thanks for all responses
