Hello from a newbie!
Hi all, my name's Adam & I'm a freelance journo writing for Classics Monthly and Mini Mag to name two. Had over 18 Minis but never owned a Hornet or Elf. Currently looking for a project one so I thought this'd be the place to sign up to, so, erm hello!

Hi Adam,
why not this one
http://capetown-westerncape.gumtree.co.za/c-Cars-Vehicles-cars-one-owner-Mini-1000cc-W0QQAdIdZ352180176
to get something unique in GB.
To take my car over from Durban was like US 1.500,- to Hamburg/Germany.

Welcome
There are some crackers on ebay at the moment, but they are more finished than you probably want. Can't wait to see what you eventually get and watch your progress.

Hornet for you Adam?
Did you see this one? I think it's pretty, although it clearly needs work.

Hey Adam,
I'm told that mine has just sold (again!), shame really as you could have finished it off!
Obviously its now minus the charger and sadly the lad who bought it off me sat it outside with no windows, doors or cover but thats the price you pay when you sell your project I suppose....
Cheers

Hi Adam,
This car is located very close to me so let me know if you would like me to take a look. I have a 1969 version and my sister's partner has a 1970 car which is currently being rebuilt. I have previously asked Ryno Verster (our local Mini oracle) about this car and could check with him again if you are seriously interested.
Only about 1700 of these were made and there are about 500 survivors known to the register, very few in good running condition. They were unique to South Africa and were made using BMC discarded presses when Elf/Riley production ended in the UK. They were made between Sept 1969 and 1970.
