but to find to new ones is almost inpossible
first there are 6 differnt ones
and second i think everybody is looking for them
but the biggest change you got at ebay

Yeah those are rare parts!

It's amazing how some parts you can find easily and others are almost impossible.

Unfortunatley because there are not many Elf's and Hornet's left no one will make reproductions, it cost to much to tool up the parts for such a few amount of cars.

I have a few sets that I've collected out of bits and pieces over the years. When I have time I'll see if I can put together a set. These are such simple and straightforward parts that I would think a person with a bit of talent could knock up a few fairly easily out of aluminum or brass and have them polished or chromed. Just need to make a pitch to the right craftsman.

I have a set of two that might clean up all right, but not sure I want to part with them. I made an inquiry of a craftsman of antique car parts that would do 6 pair of them in polished stainless for a mere $570 USD per pair. If anyone is seriously interested I might go for a pair myself, but it would have a be a pre-paid arrangement for the lot.

I understand that handmade parts are not cheap but $570 sounds a bit expensive to me...

The ones pictured do not look that bad off. I would think that a decent chroming place would easily be able to smooth them out and polish them up for not a big about of money.

I have a pair somewhere in the loft if you can't find any. You will have to take them complete as I don't want to split them.
(By that I mean the whole unit not just the "fins" as I call them.
