Introducing 'Little Car'
Some of you may have seen ‘Little Car’ in the For Sale & Technical sections, but with work just about complete it’s time for a proper introduction.
Little Car was found by Big Al after a call from a couple from Isleworth, they were the second owners from new, but had stored the car since 1988. A deal was struck, and the car delivered.
Now I knew that £775 was a bargain, but was still a little disappointed to find a seized engine! That led to a bit more work than I was expecting (why does every job you finish lead to two more being added?), but I think we’re done. All in I’ve spent £1050 on the car and parts, with another £100 on tools – I’m sure that’s a bargain!
MOT is tomorrow, so wish me luck.
Future plans? Well originally I was looking for something a bit rougher, so that I could do a standard looking pocket rocket. However this is too nice to ruin, the only modification from standard is twin carbs and an exhaust, and I’m seriously considering changing back to an HS2 this winter. That said a summer on drums could very well lead to a set of discs up front......
Looking forward to Bromley next year!

glad the engine unseized (coca-cola down the bores?) and hope the mot went well.
Re: Introducing 'Little Car'
MOT in hand!!!!!!
A minor failure on an intermitent horn, quickly fixed with some emery paper, and all was well.
Al - No luck with cola I'm afraid, I had to pull the head off and give it a beating. Runs like a dream now.
