Zip Ties on Wheel Hub Caps Empty Zip Ties on Wheel Hub Caps

Question: When I got my Elf I noticed that the past owner put Zip Ties through the Hub Caps and then through the wheels. Then I saw a member selling his 10" wheels and hub caps and he had Zip Ties on them also. Whats the deal?? Do they fly off??

Yes, I understand some mini wheels are deeper than others and some hub caps don't quite grip the wheels. I have had a couple of H/caps fly off and solved the problem of cleaning the rear of them where they grip the wheel and of course cleaning the wheels as sometimes they tend to get greasy over a period of time. Now I find them bloody hard to get off for servicing!

I have zip ties on mine, just don't want to risk losing any of them. It's not like you can just nip to the spares department of your local dealers Very Happy It's a better safe than sorry thing for me.
