Admin, can you look at the resolution of the main site? With my screen resolution (1024x768 - Windows 7 won't let my elderly graphics card go any higher), I have to scroll horizontally to read the whole page - perhaps the biggest web design no-no.
Putting the pages inside a 100%-width wrapper is one common solution to this; makes the size liquid to fit any screen resolution. Alternatively just a smaller size to the main portion, and centralise it. I'm sure there must be many others who still have screen resolutions similar to mine.

I have just had same problem.Other than slide the screen side ways I had to go to view then down to zoom and reduce it to 75% to read whole page.

My thoughts too! Many people don't associate Elfs and Hornet with cars and our banner at shows would mean nothing if none of our cars were there with it.
If we are to promote the Register then I think the outlines should be incorporated.
As John said, its a free forum and we are limited to so many pixels (another type of car? Laughing ) and also we are waiting for Al's input despite him giving us a "free rein" on the design.
I too like the outline as Steve Cronshaw used the photo of my Elf to design it!

Do you know how to use clipping masks, John? What I would do is put a black mask behind the car silhouettes and make it partially transparent so the cars look gray but the logo still shows through. I can show you what I mean if you like.

Im sort of self taught photoshop.....

thanx al!

site is not how i imagined it!
so I am still working on it

over next 7 to maybe 14 days, i'll be playing with site so it may look odd or not even be up at all (hope not for very long) at times!
please do not inundate me with emails.....

it seem to be when I add coding for visitor logs that it goes wrong, so will try without it!
