Wind-up windows to door frame seal?
Thats the sealing strip at the bottom of the window/top of the door skin. On a wind-up window Mini its a clip on replacement that stops rain (or hose pipe) water going down into the door.
Just found out that mine are shot. and the front footwell carpet is soaking wet despite not having driven the car in the rain.
The door seal has seen far better days as well and is holed / ripped at the bottom which isnt helping either !
Are Elf replacement seals available or will Mini wind up window to door frame sealing strips fit on an Elf MK3 door ?
The existing Elf sealing strips look sustantially more 'chrome' than I remember standard Mini sealing strips to be ?
Thanks
Boris

Re: Wind-up windows to door frame seal?
Got 2 x standard Mini wind-up window Weather Strips (thats the correct name for this seal) and they fit !
Not quite the same stainless steel spec of the original Elf item and with a rubber seal unlike the original brush type seal but once the stainless window surround is refitted its not such an obvious change.
So long as it keeps the water out and isnt stupid looking, thats all that counts.
Changed the door seal as well so that should be the end of the water ingress ......... maybe !!!
