MK3 HORNET 1967 POCKET TRIM Empty MK3 HORNET 1967 POCKET TRIM

Post  patanddavid2000 Thu May 01, 2014 5:22 pm

Can anyone help me please? The silver trim on the door pocket on the drivers side is missing. Has anyone got a trim or a pocket with trim, or can anyone advise me where I might be able to buy this item? Any help would be appreciated.

I think I've got an extra set, but they're on the wrong side of the big water. The pockets are the same on Innocenti Minis, so that might broaden your search.

Thank you very much for all your help and advice. I have tried the Mini sites but to no avail. If you manage to find your spare door pockets, would you be prepared to sell the driver's side pocket? Perhaps you would be kind enough to let me know. If in the meantime I manage to trace an appropriate pocket I will of course let you know.
Once again many thanks for your expertise.

MK3 HORNET 1967 POCKET TRIM Empty TRIM FOR DOOR POCKETS

Post  patanddavid2000 Fri Nov 21, 2014 1:53 pm

I have recently discovered that the trim for the door pockets on my Hornet MK3, is the same as the standard wheel arch trim. This is not very easy to form around the shape of the pocket, but we managed it using VERY HOT water (wear rubber gloves), a hairdryer and a few laundry pegs. With patience we had a good result.
