Courtesy light switch Hornet MK111 1967
I am looking for a courtesy light switch for my Hornet MK111 1967 that fits on the door pillar. I understand they are "rarer than hens' teeth". Tried ebay, Somerford Motors. Any ideas, please?
long shot
hi there, see your looking for door switch.
have you checked if that switch was used on other blmc cars, such as riley kestrel 1300,wolsley 1300,mini coopers, morris 1100/1300.
you get the jist of what im trying to say.
it may be even a british made switch that would have been fitted to other makers cars, hillman, triumph, etc etc.
pop up a picture and I may be able to help.

HORNET COURTESY LIGHT 1967
Many thanks for your reply. I can't send a photo for a couple of weeks - my son is the "computer expert" and unfortunately I am a "dinosaur". He is coming to stay next week and I will get him to add a photo!
Anyway here is a description of the switch I am looking for:- The switch is round with a bevelled edge about 10 - 15mm in diameter, (difficult to measure in situ). It is metal, silver in colour, and is a "PUSH FIT" into the door pillar. It has the letters LINRE around the edge, (I cannot trace these letters on the internet). The push actuator itself, like the switch housing, is metal, round, silver and has a bevelled head.
Thank you for your advice
Patricia
