Went to last Sunday's Show but no Elfs or Hornets to be seen !!!
Some interesting Mini variations though - including the first "wrapped" Mini that I've come across with customised fake rust look !
Also as posted elsewhere here to-day a really smart concours Clubman 1275 GT with matching trailer.

No stranger to rust :
Yes Jay, I know exactly what you mean about rust (the real thing !)
After all Ireland has an average rainfall of 183 wet days per year.
To-day being a perfect example - it has rained non stop for almost 10 hours.
Our German friends envy us because they say water is a natural lubricant.
That means, they say, that car tyres last longest in Ireland (hurrah - a bonus !)

Interesting Reg :
Yes Jay - you are quite right to question the appearance of a Dublin ZC registration plate on this car !
In fact ZC ran from October 1971 to March 1972 only.
Of course rear panels - rear light clusters - are easy to "chop & change". I've seen a 1999 Mini Cooper at a Show about 4 years ago carrying
a 1968 plate so who knows ?
