Sun damaged door pockets
Hi all.
The door pockets on my elf are in fairly good condition other than sun bleaching. Can I recolour or recover these and how would I go about it? It will be a little while before this gets to the top of the 'to do' list, but any advice gratefully received.

No reason you couldn't simply use a good quality spray paint made for plastic. Just use some mineral spirits or degreaser first. The trick will be finding the right color. I tried a few different ones before I found a nice Wine Red that did the trick. Just as long as the plastic isn't too far gone. I have a spare set of door pockets off my donor car that must have been sat outside for a very long time. The plastic is deteriorated to the point of no return. The surface just crumbles away when handled.
