Introduction
Hello from a cold and wintery Midlands
I'm in at last. After several attempts with the old forum (months of frustration) the new one is a piece of cake. All done in two minutes. Wonderful!!!
Just a quick and very brief introduction. I'm the Midlands contact for the register and own a rather sporty 1967 Mk111 Elf.
With the Elf absorbing £££££ hundreds of my hard earned cash during the 11+ years of ownership and still continuing, I thought the name "Elf Service" was appropriate as the heart and blood pressure have been tested on serveral occasions , I'm sure I'm not alone on this one. I could have used "Un-Elfie Service" but the name just doesn't ring true.
Although being a member of the register for a number of years, I haven't been actively involved in organising any events but with the Mini 50th year celebrations in August (7th to 9th I believe) in Cofton Park next to what was the Longbridge production site, what's left of it, I'm happy to take the reins. This is just 10/15 minutes from where I live so if there is any serious interest from all you Booted Mini people, then please let me know and I will look into the event and contact the organisers etc. Your "Elf Service" at your service.
I hope this offer creates some serious interest.
Thanks Andrew B.

Hi
Not sure how to attach an image to my reply. I have several jpeg images and have tried using "Host an Image" but can't get it to across as a link.
I'm okay with PC's but internet stuff like this is too complex. Any suggestions, polite ones only.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum. Hope you enjoy
Can you find out how much it is for day visitors to the mini 50 show? People like myself do not want to camp and will be making it a day trip.
To post photos on the forum you will have to open an account with a website such as Photobucket (IT'S FREE)
Once you have uploaded your pics. You left click on the img code (4TH line under selected photo). It should say "copied"
go back to froum and when you are satisfied where the flashing cursor is on the thread. Right click and select paste. You can check preview first and click on your"link" and photo shold come up. Cancel at top right to get back to forum. when you have finished "copying all pics select "send"box below.
Sounds complicated but basically it just cut and paste. Good luck!
