510XYD in American MAG!
Folks may be aware (or not) about my exploits with my other club miniaddicts(founded by my son-law) We have many members on the forum from around the world too.
One member in Boston MA in the USA has regularly e-mailed yours truly. So much so that we have joined his club with miniaddicts as Sister clubs (like Town Twinning) Paul has a V8 Chevrolet engine in the rear of his mini van! I know it's not an Elf or Hornet so I digress. (if you would like further info on this monster,Please let me know)
His Club NEMO (New England Mini Owners) are part of a group of British Marque Clubs and between them have a monthly Newspaper mag between them called British Marques. Forgive me for going on but I'm trying to explain whats coming next and why!
The Editer of The BM has asked me to write features for the mag about miniaddicts exploits, So, in October there was nothing to write about and to this end wrote to the Editor with no report but mentioned about my Elf on her Maiden run on completion of the restoration. The editor decided to use it!
Nemo have used the article on their website and have also put it in the British Marque Mag (same story) I have put the link on for you to peruse at your leisure.

Re: 510XYD in American MAG!
I'm waiting for the info. From memory I think it is a 3.8 V8 Chevrolet engine linked up to a Renault gearbox ! for now I've added a few photos I took of it at Mini Meet East. Maine this year. The chap with the tripod is Iain Ayre the North American Correspondent for Mini World who is covering the report for the Mag.
Peformance wise I'll get back when I've received it from Paul. FEAST YOUR EYES ON THIS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Further to the request for more info on the 427 Hp mini van (mini mouse) Paul has given me the link to his website.
Any more info required just ask Enjoy the experience, no expence spared! I needed a crash helmet to keep my face at the front of my head when he accelerated 0-60mph in just under THREE seconds
