Wecome to the register
I viewed this Elf about 18 months ago and decided the job was a little beyond my restoration and welding skills. From memory, the rear boot area was particulary bad, needing a new rear slam panel and extensive repairs to the boot area.
Check out panels available from Catmint as he has boot repair sections available to save you the time and effort fabricating your own, unless you have other ideas.
Mk1 Elf and Hornets are quite rare so its worth restoring.
Good luck with your project.

Hello Pat! (We met on the 'Finity stand at Stanford).
Glad to see that Elf went to a good home! I saw it advertised and thought, if only I didn't already have so many Minis and so little time! I've seen your other car, so I'm sure you'll make a great job of this one. Welcome to the world of Elfs! (ps and thanks for putting me onto this forum through 'Finity...)
