Hello from Wales!
Hi, just found this place so hello!
Restored a few minis in the last few years but neverr an elf or hornet...however...
I know of a 1963 elf - all original thats, stood since 1979. Beige in colour but needing a full resto. Just wondering how many earlier elfs are left? I seem to see more of the mk3's around?
regards
Kev

Welcome to the forum. Well, as I understand there are only about 800 Elfs left total. I would agree most that I see are Mark III - I say grab that 63!!

Re: Hello from Wales!
I went to the Swiss IMM last month and saw 11 of our favourites there. There were two Mk3 Hornets, 7 Mk3 Elfs, and two Mk2 Elfs. Of the Mk2s mine was the only one driven there, the other came in by trailer. Generally I see more Mk3s than the others as well.
Save the Mk1 / Mk2s! 1963 should make it a Mk2, but it could be a late registered Mk1. My Mk2 wasn't registered until 1967 when they were building Mk3s.
