boot rubber seal...
I need a new rubber seal for the boot of my beach car. I guess a mini one will be too short.
Where can I order a period correct seal?

Yes John, I too can back Tony up and recommend Phoenix. I know them well.

Re: boot rubber seal...
I tried to fit an Elf/Hornet boot seal from Somerfords. It has a very shallow "crack" to attach to the lip on the car. After I attach a length to the car it can be easily pushed out with minimum pressure. Either it needs some kind of glue or the Elf/Hornet has a different lip.
Help....

That's not the right seal, John. If you ordered ALA5464 they sent the wrong part.
From the Somerford catalog
What they sent me. (Works great!)

boot rubber seal
Hi John, Don' know if you've resolved the problem but the seal you show next to your car is the one that fits to the bootlid with clips (on the early cars) the same as the mini saloon. The other seal shown by Red Riley is the later one which clips over the boot aperture lip. As your car has a different bootlid it may not have the holes for the clips.

Re: boot rubber seal...
Reymondos, that boot seal you have there is for the mk1 mini. I use VW golf or ford rear tailgate seals. Wider and thicker and they do not leak!.

Re: boot rubber seal...
Somerford sent me the correct seal and it fitted like a glove.
Thanks for the feedback!
