Re: mainly engineering
ADO15 was the drawing code for ALL mini varients!
they are all ADO15 based!
and as such the drawing office of BMC logged them under ADO15!
for record ADO16 is my little 1100/1300 drawing office code!

Re: mainly engineering
Reading through my copy of Jon Pressnell Definative History of the Mini, A book well worth £30 (cheaper if you can buy it at show like I did)
John quoted several numbers relating to variations. ADO repesents(Austin Drawing Office)
These numbers ranged from ADO15 to ADO 88 (ADO 16 being the Elf /Hornet.)
There was at least one made with an MG badge but for some reason did not take off.
Some minis were produced in South Africa with a Elf/Hornet boot and a mini front!
Because of copyright laws I cannot reproduce any photos from the book but believe me they are very interesting. Some members may have seen some of the prototypes in Gaydon.

Re: mainly engineering
ADO16 is definatly the 1100/1300 as im a member of the ADO16 owners club!
yes many numbers where used, but ADO15 was usually refered to as the mini, according to couple of books and a website i seen.
lets not start a number war guys!

Re: mainly engineering
I got the shell today, after clearing it out of A35 bits, its solid. needs a O/S sill and a heel board plate. there is a few bits to do to the edges of the floor pan welds, (grinding and sealing), nothing too drastic. just have to get 2 doors!
