london to brighton report 09,

we convoyed up from south wales, my hornet and a mini,
as uasual the orginsation was a shambles, the queues for run passes were crazy at 6am at crystal palace, thats why i never take my car into the park,
i know this as nemo (my hornet) burst the rad about 3 miles outside crystal palace, and there were still cars comming passed us at 1 pm!,, some of the owners from other clubs i know were queueing for passes at 6 am. thats 7 hours waiting around!, they wont be buying tickets next year, they,l just join the run as we did,, been there before, live and learn!

great day tho, except nemo breaking down,lol,,, so we hatched a cunning plan to get nemo recovered to brighton, buy a new rad and hose there, see the show, fix nemo and drive home, we passed stacks of stricken minis on the way to brighton in a tow truck! lol,
maderia drive was packed out, the weather was ok-ish,

the tow truck driver blagged his way onto maderia drive with nemo on the back of the truck, so we even got parked with all the other cars

as we were chainging the rad, most of the other cars were leaving, this woman in a red mini, stopped and said, thats nemo, you bought that car from stroud dident you! shes a mate of the guy i bought nemo off it turns out, i was too busy unbolting the old rad in the rain to strike up a conversation, lol,
we sorted nemo, and he shot home back to wales without a hiccup! all in all a cool weekend
