Ernie 1966 Riley Elf MK2 (April 2020)
Here are some pictures taken earlier this month. Progress is is painfully slow at present due to the rules regarding lock-down here in the UK . I myself am waiting for Prostate surgery as well and if and when this goes ahead I am not allowed to drive after surgery for up to eight weeks depending on how well I recover. As you can see from the pictures various changes have been made, the thermostat housing has had to be modified as the new temperature gauge uses a capillary sensor. The oil pressure gauge and oil light also The Instruments have been upgraded to magnolia faces and the diff is a 3.44 as the speedometer has been calibrated for this.
Since these photos were taken the Seat Belts, Tread Plates and other trim parts have been fitted. New photos will be added when available.

The interior looks really nice, although not a huge fan of the plaid seat covers. Are those later model Mini front seats? Interesting dash treatment. Is that an aftermarket Mini dash? I assume there will be side pieces as well as the center section? Nice to see it finally going together even though it's difficult times.

The upper panels are original from the car but re-veneered the lower panels were made by Boris who I don't see on here anymore? they were veneered at the same time. The one's on the doors I don't have pictures as yet but purchased from "Somerford Mini" here in the UK. The upper side sections had not been fitted when the photos were taken. The seat have been recovered in Tex and Harris Tweed from a 1994 Mini Mayfair. Should be ready end of the month depending on the screws arriving for the internal door locks? The car also has a "Tracker" fitted. It has Laminated front and a rear heated screen also laminated.

It must just be the angle of the picture. That center panel looks like it's not square.
