Hi, I'm Mark Forster, among other Minis & BMC cars I race / Hillclimb a Hornet.

Hi, I'm MK1 - Wolseley Hornet Horny

The main reason I have joined the forum is in the vain hope that someone can point me in the right direction for someone who can supply a lightweight cover for a Hornet / Elf at a sensible price.

Any leads would be appreciated.

Thanks, mark

Contact Covercraft. http://www.covercraft-europe.com/contact.html
They have a pattern specifically for the Eff/Hornet. It's not listed on the website, but they will look it up for you.

Ah, yes, the search function does work!

The part number for the Elf/Hornet pattern cover is is C9874, C1 pricing. You should be able to order any cover fabric type, from any Covercraft distributor, using that pattern number. I shopped around online when I bought mine, and found it for less than the Covercraft site on a couple of reseller's sites.

I knew I'd posted this information before.

Edit: I take back what I said about the website. Their ordering page now includes the Riley Elf and Wolseley Hornet.

Thanks for the heads up. I am sure that the covercraft covers are excellent, but with their cheapest range starting at £180 its a lot more than I want to pay for a car cover.

I reckon I'll go for the van / estate option.

Having just spent over 8 grand on a new all steel 1293 that's giving over 140bhp at the flywheel, the coffers are a bit depleted at the moment.
