Waist Trim on Riley Elf Mk111 Empty Waist Trim on Riley Elf Mk111

Post  moc99 Wed Jan 22, 2014 9:09 am

When my elf was painted the panel shop people filled up and covered all the rivet holes for the waist trim strips, so now Im at a stage where Im going to put the trim strips on. My question is dose anybody know the hole positions/Location so I can redrill out the holes, I know its a hard question but I would rather try and find the holes rather than drill new ones ???? If the original hole have been welded then you would be advised to drill new. it will be easier as the weld will be harder to drill.
If filled with body filler than you may be better to rub off the excess filler inside the car, then open up the original holes but I guess you may find the holes too big for your rivets and may allow water ingress!
Good look and please let us know which method you use>
