door post stiffener/a panel: welded? Or not?
On my 1968 Elf, the door post stiffener is not welded to the A-panel on either side. I can't figure out if this is a bad previous repair, or if it's supposed to be that way. They are both welded top and bottom, but not along the vertical curve.

All along the line where the panel and the wind come together? Or just at the two notches?
Still haven't received the grille. Did you mail one from North Carolina?
