rear quarter light window

We are stuck on a problem, Is the riley elf rear quarter light window that same as a mini?

Yes they are the same as I have used mini windows on my MK111.

You will however find some of the mini quarter lights have tinted glass and I think the Riley had clear glass
but I am sure someone can confirm this.

I always chuckle at the phrase, "the same as a Mini"! But I know what you mean.

The Elf/Hornet quarter lights followed the same pattern in time as the Mini saloon. The age of the E/H would determine which of the three quarter lights used on the standard Mk I/II saloon were used on the E/H. Any of the three will fit if you're not concerned about matching the original...and Mk III+ won't fit E/H.

No tinted glass.

Depending on how much of a perfectionist you are, you should also note that Elfs and Hornets had the earlier type wider chrome surround (as did Minis of that era). If your using windows from a later Mini they will have a thinner chrome surround! I hunted for earlier ones for months, and could not find a set that had either good chrome or good glass, and getting new isnt an option!
