Project Lexy Empty Project Lexy

I have striped Lexy down for her respray and the shell has been taken away. While the metal work does look and feel solid enough the paint was just falling off in places. I've also found some washers and gaskets missing, and some of the grommets were shot to bits too. All in all it doesn't look too bad. I'm now going to go through the parts and tidy them up ready to go back on. The big job though is the engines. I've decided to leave the 1275 to one corner for now as it looks like a project on it's own, so I will get the original 998 up and running if possible for the time being.

Here are some pictures of the shell before it went away.

The cat has taken a liking to the passenger seat at the moment, so I'm not sure if I'll be allowed to have that back. Laughing

That, is one tidy looking shell, One, I might add that many of us would like to have! Should be a fantastic motor when finshed. Do keep the forum updated on your progress.

what a lucky guy to have found such a genuinly good shell, no suprises lurking underneath. I'm excitedly anticipating the progress. good luck.

Shell looks great!

Much better than mine did stripped down. Hard to believe mine looked like that only a couple of weeks ago!
