(As requested by Al on another thread)
What can happen to any car let alone a mini!

This Open Classic was seemingly in good condition 4 years ago when won on evill bay. It was collected by it's new owner from North London and on it's way back to Buxton was clipped by a lorry, spun round and pushed sideways along the M1 for approx 150-200 yards! The owner has not driven or been in a mini since! He escaped uninjured .

Anyway I bought the car for my son in law, as a thank you for welding the Elf so well and so he could use bits and bobs to rebuild his own Open Classic. He has now given the shell to me for the engine and running gear for my mini van.
(The rear side window and rear and front screens remained intact in the collision and have now been removed)

Doesn't look that bad when you see what a Citreon Saxo did to my Mini.

When we had all that snow there was a bit of a blizzard and we went head on. He said he slid on the ice and that was why he was on my side of the road. I didn't think there was that much ice, but either way he wasn't driving for the conditions.

Sadly the mini was a write-off, but happily I was in the right place at the right time to buy Lexy while trying to sort out getting salvage for the mini.
