Seat disassembly (Knightsbridge Rover Seats) Empty Seat disassembly (Knightsbridge Rover Seats)

I have a set of Knightsbridge Rover seats the I am going to put in my Elf but I want to change the colour to Red. To dye them I need to disassemble the seat. The base and back are attached by bolts on the hinge mechanism. To remove the bolts I must remove the plastic shield that covers the hinge. It appears to be put on with plastic drive pins of some sort. My gentle prying (don't want to break anything) doesn't seem to work. Any ideas on how to get these covers off.
Jim

Never Mind!!!!

With patience and little bent wires I managed to push out the drive pins and pry off the cover. If you ever have to do it I know how now.

Thanks for that one Jim. I have a set of those from my old Mini and was considering putting them in my Elf but, like you, I'd have to recover them. Now I know how to take them apart. Cheers.

The link below is not about seat dismantling but you may be interested to see what a nice job Red Riley made of re colouring his seats. Good luck with yours.

I am coordinating my whole dyeing project with advise and council from Red Riley. He is being a lot of help.

I'm pleased to hear that and hope the forum has been instrumental in bringing you two guys into contact with each other?
Looking forward to seeing your photos of the completed seats.
