Re: Molvern Mini Show
The trip was OK, albeit very slow. We were in convoy with JVG, but poor old Katy, with her automatic engine, REALLY doesn't like any sort of hill, especially long slow inclines on the motorway. It's a bit scary when you're stuck in the crawler lane - getting slower and being overtaken by the lorries - ooops. They must have really been cussing me.
It was about 4 hours there on Sunday morning, basically a good clear run, both cars doing well, the only, very minor problem was my heater seemed to stop working and I wasn't wearing a coat- but hey, in the grand scheme of things that's luxury. We arrived at 10am, to join Rupert who'd been waiting very patiently. I don't want to prempt the details in the article in the next newsletter but it was good to see other members who were also inside, with and without their elves.
It was a very long 5 hours on the way back, a lot more traffic and more hills (?). But again both cars did the run beautifully. JVG was wrapped up and put away. I'm taking Katy in to be waxoyl'd tomorrow as, whilst I'll get the train whenever I can, I'm still gonna have to drive her through the winter - better have a look at that heater!!

Shock and disgust at the "dog's dinner" (his words not mine!!)that is my engine!!

Do you got to enter in somewere
This show is unique because every car displayed is judged for the various categories. The only Mini show I know of that has a category for best Riley/Wolseley!

jvg and katy win a prize
I haven't been on the forum for a few days and when I look what do I find ??
jvg and Katy looking absolutely fantastic and so deserving of a prize.
I wish many other mini shows had a section for hornets/elfs sometimes we just get left out and its NOT FAIR!
