Elf / Hornet Register in Mini mag
Congrats to Big Al and those that went to Brooklands .
Mini mag came through the letter box this morning and there is a nice pic of Rupert and others in front of the garage. (page 21 of June issue)
Nice one

Cheeky!
I was browsing through "Classic Cars For Sale" Magazine yesterday in WH Smiths (mainly because it had a feature on the 50th Mini etc) and was chuffed to bits and totally surprised to see that they have used my avatar picture to represent the Elf!

Re: Elf / Hornet Register in Mini mag
On Rupert?
Wolfrace. I think Cosmic did the same or nearly the same pattern, and it was awailable in 5 and 6 inch width.
By the way, congratulations to the Register! Do You have some kind of "donating membership" for thoose who cannot join club meetings? I would like to join the Register for this year.

Re: Elf / Hornet Register in Mini mag
The wheels on "Rupert" are indeed 10" Wolfrace Slotmags (from the 70's). They are the smaller version of the ones used on the Starsky and Hutch Gran Torino!
With them being polished chrome, I think they compliment the chrome perfectly and althought not 60's, I think they look "period" and suit the car.
Not everyone's taste I know, - "Marmite" wheels, but I love them!
Camelot.... I'm sure Big Al would welcome you being a proper member, he only charges £5 a year - bargain! And you get regular cracking newsletters!

Re: Elf / Hornet Register in Mini mag
That would be fine.
But I think even if Wolfrace didnt produced theese in the 60s, this design is period. I think Cosmic did this earlier. I have a set for my Cox GTM which is 60s and not Wolfrace. Very period.
I like them on Rupert.
