Minilite Wheels
I know you are looking for secondhand alloys but have a look at Midland Wheels as I bought mine at one of the Mini shows at a special show offer package price with a set of Yokohama 165 tyres and wheel nuts. The whole lot came to well under £300.00. It may be a little more than you had hoped to pay but there is no messing about with restoring alloys and you have a set of brand new tyres all fitted, balanced and ready for your car.

Standard Steel Rims v 4.5 inch Alloys
Big_Al_Smith wrote:what's wrong with standard 10" steels i ask?
Nothing wrong with the standard rims but the need for wider tyres can cause a few problems with the 3.5 inch steel rims. With 80bhp at the wheels, there just isn't enough rubber on the road to use the power and they do look good. I have kept the standard rims and 145 tyres with hubcaps should I decide to turn back the clock but I doubt this will happen. As my car will never be a show winner, well during my ownership, I'm not too bothered about originality as I prefer to use the car and have a bit of fun. I have two other Minis and both are in very good condition and one is a potential show winner but I doubt if I will go to all the trouble as the show winning standards are now just obsessive, mirrors under the car cleaning the inside of the exhaust pipe etc . Every one to their own but its not for me. Don't get me wrong as I like my car to be presentable but there are limits and I do have a life away from cars, although my wife may not agree.
There's a little something to stir up the Hornet's nest, not forgetting the Elf.

Mini Spares do a repro steel 4.5 by 10 non-reverse cooper wheel, fits 165s well and allows you to keep the wheel trims!
