I'm surprised no one has mentioned this car. An interesting one. Much so, but if I could just get people to black out the slam panel and bonnet section where they shine through the grille, their cars would look so much better.

I did see it in the magazine, but I guess I thought everyone knew it was there. Very nice car and very unique. Nice one, Kevin!

I did mention the article in the 563 MWL thread in the Introductions section but you possibly didn't notice. Cheleker, I would have blacked out the bonnet and slam panel but the car's to be repainted so I didn't bother. There is still a lot of work to do and more parts to fit before it's finished but I've lost enthusiasm due to the problems encountered so far. Glad you enjoyed the article. Kev

No, I didn't notice it. It's a very nice and very interesting car. Shame to have it buried at the end of that thread! It deserves its own.

Glad to hear you had planned to do the "black out." That's one of my pet peeves. Many finely rebuilt or restored (two very different things -- another pet peeve!) booted Minis have that simple matter overlooked and front end photos just scream, "Look what I forgot to do!"

I shall be sure to black out the entire area behind the grill when I paint my Half-an-Elf trailer, since it will be closed off.

Another interesting Elf in July's Mini Magazine with, you guessed it, red body showing through the grille. In this case I have to cut him some slack. It's based on a racing Elf that wasn't painted correctly, either.
