Bingley Hall, Staffordshire 2013
Went to the show today, not many Elfs or Hornets, but lots of good cars and stalls. Thank goodness it was inside, the weather outside looked okay, but kept going very wet and windy, and hardly a trace of snow!
Very nice feel to the show, and got to see some old friends.

Good photos! Tell us more about the car in picture #9 of 12....the burnt orange car with the gold roof...that appears to be some wild custom Elf/Hornet.

Yes the bronze one was something 'special' but not necessarily nice! I am all for body kits and general craziness, but that car has an BMW M3 front end and engine. I think it is a German car, or at least has been worked on in Germany, it is left hand drive. I think I have seen it in magazines in grey primer on a couple of occasions. I have added a couple more pics of it.
Also added a pic of "the last Mini to come out of Longbridge". It was not the last to be made, it was in one of the underground tunnels when the site was demolished. Now that the site is being redeveloped some Longbridge locals persuaded the developer to let them get it out!
Also added a pic of a very fine Biota, only a hand full of them left now, but made in Sheffield originally.

That BMW M3 lookalike is awful, I'm glad we missed at the show the wife would have been very angry seeing that (she's a purist).
The Biota was lovely, really liked that.

Bingley Hall - Staffordshire - 2013 :
At last - I can see those photos !
The 1959 Mini looks to be a beaut & very original with an RX (Birmingham ?) reg plate - very desireable.
On a sad note my two N.Ireland friends - who were there - saw but did not buy - a Hornet front grille complete with illuminated badge
on offer at 25 pounds ! Could that be correct ? - I'm quite miffed with them for not buying it for me.

Can't say I spotted that. The guy that sells the Elf rear valances and trim clips on ebay had a few Riley Grilles, but I didn't rifle through them. He also had a rear valance, front & rear bumpers (no overriders), loads of hub caps & badges. I'm sure he can be contacted through ebay (rupert_fish). Can't say I saw much riley/Wolseley stuff of interest on the other stalls to be honest.

I was there too. We went from Germany for one day.
Nice event, spent a lot of money for my projects again.
You are right, not very many Elfs there, but the scenery looked nice anyway. My photos will come soon. Currently my computer crashed and a new is on its way. I will report as soon as possible.

WOW good effort to come all that way. Do you know if the bronze Elf with the M3 front and engine is done by a Germany company?
I look forward to seeing your photos too.

Thx... . New computer is running again...
The bronze Custom M3-Elf does not come from Germany. I have never seen it before somewhere here in Germany. It might also got real big difficulties with our strict TÜV.

The bronze mini was made by Dericks minis if I remember right, they unveiled the shell in it's early stages in the last Bingley show last January. I think I have some shots of it somewhere?

Yes, I saw that at Bingley too; my first reaction was "Why would anyone want to make a perfectly good Mini look like a BMW?" I admit to having had a Merc grille on a Mini in the past, but BMW? That's below the belt!
