Hello all, New to the forum.
Good day all,
I'm new to this forum so just thought I'd introduce myself and the car.
Just a quick introduction about myself, my names Chris and live in the 1950's. I'm involved with the operational department on the Severn Valley Railway and several loco groups either restoring or overhauling various Great Western locomotives. My old man was a mechanic in his early years and that's rubbed of onto me. We restored with the help of our friends garage my first car which is a 1985 mini that goes by the name of Carly. We found ourself's twiddling our thumbs and wanted another project and a 1964 Riley Elf came about at the right money from a old couple we new threw this garage, the husband had passed away and the wife wanted rid of the car to someone who get pleasure out of it, and knowing what standard the mini was turned out in sold it to use at a very low price despite a dealer offering well over £2000 for it.
I'll start a restoration thread when I get chance to upload some photo's when I get a spare 5 minutes.
Chris

Hi Chris
Welcome to the register. As a fellow Bromsgrovian, let me know if you need any help, advice or fancy a chat. I have a couple of 1967 Mk3 Elves, one pretty well original and the other tastefully modified.

Re: Hello all, New to the forum.
Hi Chris
Check out Members Photo's - "Wedding Cars", Red Elf taken at my Son's wedding a couple of years ago at St Peters Church, Rock Hill, Bromsgrove and still in Members Photo's - "Latest Elf". I have a few other classic cars, including a Mini Cooper and a Riley Kestrel. My wife says I have a problem, "too many cars", but the real problem is, not enough garage space.
