Hello, and my new project Hornet!
Hi,
This is my first post on here, to introduce my new project and ask for advice.
Finally have a mini based project, after wanting one for 16 years! This was my Great Grandmothers, purchased new in 1969, it has 23,000 miles on the clock and has been off the road since 1988.
Things that need attention:
*Hydrolastic has collapsed on one side (plan to convert to dry).
*Both A panels, one wing, one sill and bottom of the doors.
*Hasn't run since the mid 90's.
*Paintwork.
Postives:
*Its a fancy, different mini!
*Original pale blue interior in great condition.
*Not much welding to do!
Plans:
I am going to get it running and MOT'd, and gradually improve..
If anyone has a decent dry rear subframe and running gear to sell, I'm interested!
Thanks
Russell

Hi,
I have only got one picture of the interior at the moment (from when I picked the car up), which shows it as dirty but complete. Passenger and rear seats are perfect, the drivers just needs re-dying and feeding.

Welcome to the site, and good luck with your project. It's great to think it's been in the family so long, and is as original as it is.

Great job done... are there pics of the restauration existing? What about the bodywork? Did you had any problems (missing parts, etc.)?
Hope to see the Hornet on a meeting, when I am in UK again.
