Proud new owner of a 1969 Riley Elf Mk3
Hi all,
I have just recently bought myself for my first car a Riley Elf Mk3 which needs a complete restoration and engine rebuild, all of which will take place after my A-levels in June... I was just wondering if you had any information on the car as all it came with was a logbook and I'm curios to know the cars history, and this seemed to be the place to come! (recommended by my friend)
It is a Fawn brown vehicle, which I heard was a more unusual colour for the Elfs? However I may be wrong! Obviously I will keep it in its original colour, keeping the car as original as possible, although I will probably install minilites when the money is there!
The reg is ABW 145G was just curious if you had any info on the car or any pointers on what to use to find out more about the vehicle!
Many thanks,
Hayden

Looks like an ideal 'project' for restoration Hayden.
It'll be great to see how you get on with in over the coming months.
I have a 69 Mk3 Elf as well which I only recently bought but mine was restored to a good standard about 15 years ago so doesnt need all that much doing to it at the moment.
I'm planning to keep mine more or less "Standard" too. (see the "Projects" thread).
Hope you can find out some more 'history' to yours - its always nice to know.

Cheers, I'll be sure to upload my project to the "Projects" thread and keep you updated! I had a look and what a nice elf you have, looks very tidy already and I like what you have done with the dash!
Thank you, I think I may get it a Heritage certificate because I think that will provide at least some information on the car.
