Hi guys,
I have a question about steering columns.
For my 1968 mk3 Riley i need a steering column. At this moment there is installed a MK 3 "mini" column.
What is The diverence between columns? Mk1 2 or 3?

from what i can see of the few ive got, MK1 and 2 Elf/Hornet are the same as MK1 Mini, ie, indicator on the right hand side and a green flasher on the end of the stalk, no steering colunm lock,
MK3 Elf/Hornet, early 66 is the same as above
later ones used the MK2 Mini one, ie black stalk, no green bulb on the end, this was painted black with a silver tip and as per Mini had a choice of wiring at the end, multi plug or individual wiring.
As far as iam aware, none of the ELF/Hornet range had steering locks in this country
Ihave a correct one for your car, its dated 16/68 so it around May time of 1968, comes with switch assy on it. PM if you are interested
