looking a set, if anyones any info, the mechanism i need the metal bar to the lock

I might be able to help if you are looking for Mk.1 or Mk.2 handles (the cars fitted with doors featuring sliding windows/external hinges).

Sorry Steve, I thought you were after the plastic handles. Never seen the mechanism on eBay.

my mistake, should of worded it better, always the way, when you see them on ebay you dont need them

Isn't that just the same as a Mini? Part #32 on this diagram?

nah theres 3/4 inch shorter ive tried them, might have to try n weld bit on

That surprises me. In which case I need to have a closer look in my shed, as I know I've stripped some u/s Elf doors in the past and I know I wouldn't have thrown away any hardware (habitual parts hoarder!)
Edit: had a quick check and I see what you mean. The Elf version is much more substantial too. I certainly have one on an old door; chances are there are more hiding in one of my boxes!
